What I love about MYPI is really just the environment. It’s an environment of inclusion, friendship, inspiration, empowerment, and so much more. Whenever I attend an event for MYPI, I’m never bored and I enjoy every minute of it. I also love the fact that they have so many opportunities that allow the youth to help those in need. I enjoy helping others and with MYPI, I have so many opportunities available to me to do just that

I really love being a MYPI ambassador. It has made me realize how important it is to help those who need it and be able to know many more people and see things from many different perspectives. I really like that we can come together in the community united to help everyone and make sure that nobody is left behind. I really love how it showed me that as human beings we can do so much. I really love being a part of MYPI and I look forward to continuing with them.
— Reda Meharzi (Adopt-A-Family Youth Ambassador)

I am getting a lot of help from my mentor and I also find the tutoring department very helpful for youth. I loved the public speaking workshop. It helped a lot with my public speaking.

MYPI has had an incredible impact on youth, by giving us the confidence to find our voice and giving us the tools to then use our voices and our passion to serve our community. I love that MYPI allows us to not only be part of the organization but to lead parts of the organization.

I first discovered the mission and purpose of MYPI within the Colorado Muslim community during a youth event with my sister, Nadeen Ibrahim. From the community experience, I was very impressed and motivated by the efforts and wanted to instill those same values and efforts within my own community.

I first reached out to MYPI to see if they would be interested in having an intern help out with many of the amazing services and events they had to offer to the community. I enjoyed completing various tasks and being a part of the positive impact they made towards the community

MYPI provides youth with an important sense of community and belonging. I am forever grateful for MYPI for helping me to learn more about my beautiful religion, create lasting friendships, and for providing a support system for all the Muslim youth.

MYPI has had a significant impact on my growth. Not only has the holistic programming of MYPI helped me grow in many areas, but it has also given me the invaluable opportunities of volunteerism, developing leadership, and growing a passion for giving back to my community. I’m really grateful for MYPI and I’m really excited for what the future holds
— Fawad Ahmadzai

What I love about MYPI is that it is giving me the ability to do something for my community about an issue that deeply resonates with me. While I was born in America, my mother was born in Ethiopia and my father in Sudan, and in the face of immense challenges such as war breaking out, my parents were forced to migrate to the U.S. whereupon they would begin new lives. Their stories always amaze me and truly provide insight into the grueling hardships refugees (who in most cases have been forced to depart their homes and places of birth due to means outside of their control) must experience daily. Through MYPI’s Adopt-A-Family Program, I will be able to be an asset to this community and relieve some of the burdens faced by one of the most hardworking groups of people in the world. InshaAllah, I can follow in the footsteps of my Prophet (SAW) and uplift the well-being of those within my community.

MYPI stays active and provides me with energy through their activities. It is great to see an organization that follows through with their initiatives.

I wish MYPI was around when I was younger because I see the impact that it has had in such a short time. I know that it would’ve changed my life extremely when I was younger. I believe every youth should take advantage of the programs and services that MYPI has to offer because it is definitely very beneficial for them. I am very grateful to be a part of MYPI and to be able to help the youth.

I see MYPI making an impact: I see youth developing leadership skills—organization skills, communication skills, confidence in their identity and leadership.

MashaAllah, it’s amazing seeing our MYPI ambassadors grow and become more bold. Many youth are acquiring leadership skills which will be of immense benefit to them all throughout their lives.

MYPI defines initiatives and carries out the activities to its completion.

I have seen MYPI bring youth together over a common interest of Allah but finding other common factors to make those relationships even more strong. I have also seen my young mentee struggle through complicated high school days and anxiety of COVID become more strong and confident since we began to meet mashaallah.

I believe MYPI is the answer for Muslim youth. This organization is built on principles that keep the whole family, the whole community connected; as someone who grew up in Denver and didn’t have a lot of these services, I can tell you for a fact that MYPI is helping youth skip the learning curve and empowering them to be the best Muslims they can be. May Allah bless this organization, and I can’t wait to give everything I have to it
